No. You can log dives right away without signing up — everything saves locally on your phone.
Creating an account unlocks three things: automatic cloud backup, syncing across devices (iPad, second iPhone, etc.), and being able to recover your logbook if you ever lose your device. You can sign up any time from the Profile tab — we'll migrate your existing dives over.
Yes. Bloo is offline-first by design. You can log dives, add photos, view your logbook, and check the map with no signal. Everything syncs to the cloud automatically once you're back online.
Tap the + button in the middle of the tab bar. The wizard takes you through three steps: Where & when → The dive → Capture. You can skip any field that doesn't apply — only the site and date are required.
